Registering Your Vehicle in Spain
Our process in four easy steps
1
What kind of ride are we talking?
We start by understanding your situation:
• Is the car already in Spain or still abroad?
• Is it new, used, or imported from another EU country?
• Are you the buyer, seller, or just trying to fix someone else’s mess?
This helps us map out the right paperwork, taxes, and timelines.
2
Send us the paper pile
We’ll ask for the essentials—no more, no less. Depending on your case, we may need:
• Purchase contract or invoice (with seller details and price)
• CoC (Spanish or foreign technical sheet)
• ITV report (if the car’s already been inspected)
• Your ID (NIE, DNI, or passport)
• Proof of address (empadronamiento, rental contract, sales contract of property)
• Previous registration documents (if imported)
We’ll review everything, flag issues, and tell you what’s missing—before the ITV or DGT does
3
We do the boring stuff
This is where we shine. We handle:
• DGT registration and ownership transfer
• IEDMT (registration tax) and IVTM (road tax) declarations
• Green plates or temporary tags if needed
• ITV inspection – yes, we book it, prep the car, and chase the results if you are in the Alicante region.
• Emissions classification and paperwork
• Translations or homologation support if your car’s from abroad
You get updates at every stage. No ghosting. No guesswork.
4
You chill. We chase
We deal with the DGT, tax office, and ITV so you don’t have to.
If they stall, we poke. If they mess up, we fix it.
If they ask for something weird, we translate it into human.
You stay out of the queue. We stay in the fight
You get the goods
Once everything’s approved, we deliver:
• Official registration
• Road tax confirmation
• License plates
• Emissions sticker (Distintivo Ambiental)
• V19 emergency beacon
• Peace of mind (always included)
Your car’s legal, insured, and ready to roll.
