Intro

Some people buy a holiday home in Spain and immediately start looking for sun loungers. This customer bought a holiday home south of Torrevieja and immediately started looking for a car — because renting every time he flew in was getting old fast.

And he already had the perfect car for Spain: a Peugeot 207 CC convertible sitting in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.

So he did the only logical thing:

“I’ll just drive it to Spain.”

Simple plan. In theory.

Background — The Journey That Tried to Kill Him

This man runs his own restaurant in Germany. Time off is a luxury. So finding a window to drive a convertible 2,000+ km to Spain was already a challenge.

Attempt #1: He sets off. He makes it to France. The car says nein. Breaks down. Trip over.

Attempt #2: He tries again. This time, the Peugeot behaves. He makes it all the way to Alicante.

He enjoys the car for a couple of weeks, then brings it to us — and we give him a lift to the airport so he can get back to Germany and keep serving some of the best Schnitzel in Wilhelmshaven.

Now it was our turn.

What We Did

We gave the Peugeot a full inspection, and… yeah, the ITV would’ve laughed him out of the building.

The Problems We Found

  • Tires were 12 years old

  • Tires were dry‑rotted

  • Tires were winter tires

  • Tires were… basically historical artifacts

  • A few mechanical items needed attention

  • AC wasn’t working at all

So we:

  • Installed 4 brand‑new tires

  • Performed a wheel alignment

  • Fixed the mechanical issues

  • Sent it to ITV

  • It passed with flying colors

The AC Mystery

We noticed the AC wasn’t cooling. Instead of blindly refilling it (and watching the gas escape into the atmosphere), we sent it to a specialist.

Diagnosis: Busted AC line.

Cost of diagnosis: €75 Cost of guessing wrong: a lot more

Smart money well spent.

The Extra Mile — Literally

Since he flies in and out of Alicante Airport, we arranged something special:

A year‑round parking contract at Engel Parking

  • Car delivered to him directly at the terminal

  • Car picked up directly from the terminal

  • No shuttle buses

  • No waiting

  • No stress

  • No “where did I park again?” moments

All handled by us while he’s busy keeping the people of Wilhelmshaven fed and happy.

Results

  • A German‑registered convertible successfully brought to Spain

  • Fully repaired, ITV‑approved, and registered

  • AC diagnosis done correctly

  • New tires, alignment, and mechanical fixes

  • A premium airport parking solution arranged

  • A customer who now lands in Spain with a car waiting for him — every time

This is AB‑Motors: We don’t just register cars. We solve problems you didn’t even know you had.

Why This Matters

This story shows exactly what AB‑Motors does best:

  • Helping expats make Spain feel like home

  • Handling the messy parts so clients don’t have to

  • Fixing issues before they become disasters

  • Coordinating logistics, repairs, ITV, registration, and even airport parking

  • Turning a stressful international car move into a smooth, turnkey experience

Some companies register cars. We take care of the whole journey.

How To Get The Same

  1. Bring your car to Spain (preferably on the second attempt)

  2. Hand us the keys

  3. Fly home

  4. We handle everything

  5. Next time you land, your car is waiting for you — not a rental counter

2022 Ford Galaxy Vignale Hybrid sourced, imported & delivered — Torrevieja
Some customers say “find me something nice.” This customer gave us a wishlist so specific it could’ve launched a NASA mission. We scanned Europe, found one of only three Vignale Hybrids available, and delivered a unicorn straight to Torrevieja.
